AMONG LEGENDS
Ontario’s Among Legends have been playing their own brand of energetic punk rock for nearly a decade. Formed in 2016, the band built its reputation through a run of independent EPs before releasing their debut full-length album Take Good Care in 2022. The record was produced by Siegfried Meier and released through Little Rocket Records (UK/Japan), Rad Girlfriend Records (USA), and Sounds of Subterrania (EU). Coverage around the album placed the band in the modern melodic punk landscape, with BrooklynVegan describing their sound as “the middle ground between The Menzingers and Alkaline Trio” and calling the album “one ripper after another.”
Since the release of Take Good Care, the band has played consistently throughout Canada and the United States, hitting venues and bars across both countries with energetic shows and a firm belief that playing music should be a good time. After carving some time out of a busy show schedule to record, Among Legends returned with their second full-length album Lose My Grip, due July 10, 2026. The record was produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered by Matt Gauthier and recorded at ARC Recording Studio in Hamilton, Ontario and This Place Needs A Name in Hamilton and Port Dover, Ontario. Release will be handled by Little Rocket Records (UK/EU/Japan), ADD Records and Sell The Heart Records (USA), and Steady Riot Records (Canada).
Featuring Tyler Boles on guitar, Mitchell Buchanan on vocals and bass guitar, and Sara Fellin on drums, Lose My Grip finds the band more confident in their melodic punk rock sound. The record leans into more aggressive tendencies with tighter hooks as the band reflects on both personal and external challenges and explores a wider range of sonic influences. Bolstered by a new live lineup, consisting of long-time members Mitchell and Sara, plus new recruit Bennett Rouleau on guitar, Among Legends are ready to take Lose My Grip on the road, playing as many dive bars, basements, DIY spaces, concert halls and backyards as possible through 2026 and beyond.
