After years of kicking around the scene playing in various bands the gravitational pull of the earth brought together this group of punk rock veterans to form Jacksonville Florida’s Tides in 2023.

In just a short period of time they have created a buzz sharing the stage with punk rock stalwarts like Alkaline Trio, Hot Water Music, The Subhumans, New Junk City, The Iron Roses, Raging Nathans, Spares, and Tiltwheel just to name a few.

The first release from the band came via a split twelve inch vinyl with the band Golf War in 2023 on ADD Records. The band offered up seven songs of punk rock in the vein of bands like Touché Amore, Fiddlehead, Iron Chic, Flatliners, HWM, Samiam, and Ways Away. Bringing a new take on the classics while carving a niche in the scene.

In the winter of 2025 the band would embark on a journey back into the studio for what would be their first full length recording as a band. The process would take some time with countless hours of grinding it out in the studio. Lyrical audibles were called. Changes were made. And the vision was taking shape.

The studio sessions produced thirteen tracks of pure punk rock bangers total. The songs were sent off to the Blasting Room to be mastered in the land of punk rock infamy. The finished product would eventually be whittled down to eleven cohesive tracks resulting in the form of How To Survive A Fall. The debut recording from Jacksonville, Florida’s Tides.
